My thread took a strange turn........ Im still buying a Hughes cam / lifters / and more parts from them this winter. I prefer a good Indy bashing thread myself... seems like 95% of Hughes customers are happy.

Been using Hughes cams for a few years now. I like their cam approach ( lots of lift and making full use of the 904 lifter ). They put together some good stroker packages ( true drop ins ) and seem to be on the cutting edge of stuff. Kevin is great to work with and very knowledgeable. Dave - - - Gave me a free tour of the place last time I was over there. Think he is mellowing in his old age.

Where was the personal insult Aparently you took offense cause you helped. It's not my fault the (Truth and nothing but the Truth) wasn't printed. I suppose the 9 pages in the archive are all BS OK!!!

(493) glad to see ya giving Hughes business. I also found them to be helpful.
I have NOTHING to do with any of this....but I agree with you. If you didnt want to argue about the "truth" why didnt you just tell the truth and get it over with to begin with.
Hughes is a GREAT shop and GREAT for the Mopar community. Just as Mancini, Mazzolini, Koffel's, and anyone that sells Indy for then (Notice I didnt say Indy)

Dave has helped me a few times on the phone, and the K1 426 kit is a great kit. Not knowing there were issues in the past until now I would of never known it, they seem like hardcore mopar guys. The instructions that come with there kits and parts are funny because they are so well explained a caveman could do it. Yes its 2010, sorta like a clean slate....lets hope everyone has a good year this year. I Even hope Eddie has a better year.

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

I dealt with Dave and Kevin through a ground up stroker, sixpack engine build. They get the thumbs up from me in ALL regards, price, service and innovation and results! Great guys and a great source of Mopar knowledge and support. http://www.hughesengines.com/TechArticles/13dynotest684hp500cid6pack4bbljcross012007.php

Fantasy Land , is that where you live or did you ride in from there and then KILL the horse ???
Did you read anything I put up there ?
Dave STRONGLY SUGGESTED that we bush the lifter bores , he obviously didn't stress it enough telling me there MIGHT be an issue.
Maybe you should go back and READ the archive AGAIN then maybe you would see that there was no one in the area of SOUTH FLORIDA where the engine was being assembled that the people involved with the assembly of the engine felt confident in doing the job, there wasn't anytime to ship the block 800 or so miles , have it bushed , and then ship it back JUST IN CASE there was a problem ...
ALSO you would have seen a few of the members tell their tales of blocks that were bushed WRONG and it made things WORSE ...
One more time, I have ZERO ISSUES WITH DAVE HUGHES OR HUGHES ENGINES, if I need something, Hughes sells it ... I'LL HAPPILY BUY IT ...
I'll even go one step further , 493 dart I have the cam you want to buy from Hughes left over from the contest , it's got about maybe a dozen pulls on the dyno with SCHUBECK lifters AFTER the block was bushed, you want it, I'll GIVE it to you, just pay the shipping after you receive it and are happy with it, if you don't like it send it back and I'll reimburse you for the shipping ...
I want to apologize to the members that have to go thru this BS yet again because some people got nothing better to do than speak on a subject they KNOW NOTHING about other than some things they heard second hand or read on the internet .
