So sick of header leaks and blown collector gaskets. The 2 definates I look for when shopping for header. At a minimum a 3/8" thick exhaust flange and a fixed collector ring.

Here is a link to a thread in which I was looking for answers also. I ended up with the dougs. The reason I purchsed them was the fact that they are an over the drag link design (shouldn't scrap), have 3/8 flanges, fit W/O dinging and are ceramic coated. In other words are of equal quality and have the same features to the more expensive TTI and Hooker Super Comps but quite a bit cheaper. I personaly spent the money for the ceramic. I just like the idea that the headers will look good for many years to come and won't deteriorate as quickly. Also the thermal barrier will keep engine compartmet temp down.

Here is the best deal I was able to find on the Dougs. That price is shipped. Sam was super nice to deal with.

DOUG'S NOT doug thorley, very thick flanges,i didn't have to ding and didn;t scratch paint on install, though you will find you will want a mini starter (440source)starter will stay away from the heat of the headers=last longer headers came with special bolts and intruc.to have no leaks.you will not be disappointed, and about 400 cheaper then tti

i had some blackjack headers that are styled just like Hedman and Hooker, fit perfectly in my 74 Challenger with a 360.

I have some Hedmans for my Duster that I'm hoping will be the same way.

If you're on here you can pi$$ away as much as some of the rest of us. Get the TTI's and be done with it. Ceramic. Dig deep. Made here.

Happy with my TTI's. If I ever need another set of headers that's who I'll buy them from.

After all considerations, I ordered the Doug's last week... the 453 for my A-Body....sure can't wait to see this for myself...!

NOT cheap.....but I won't be scraping the pavement anymore...

I took this pic this summer of the 1-3/4 Hedman Elite headers which have been on my 63 for more then 3 years. Never had any leaks and holding up good so far. Not sure on cost as my buddy gave them to me but I believe they run around $300. Ron
