the 800 avs, or 750 dp, your setup has good flowing heads, a good size cam, and good CR. I would not go with anything smaller than 750, its going to roast the tires not fall on its face when you nail it,use a 4-hole spacer under the carb.

GEnsrud is right on with his advice, unless you like to floor it and have a nice bog going on. a higher rev t.c. might mask a problem, but really is not the way to go. 670 is plenty.

In the 25 years i've been into cars and all the gear heads i have raced with and hung out with its been vacuum sec carbs i have herd the most complaining about. the carb i'm using right now is the 750 chokeless race carb with annular boosters i'm running j heads but very close to his build it don't BOG it blows the tires off, when raced with slicks it didn't bog it had a 1.66 60', thats also with the torker II intake that everyone says is a dog.
