Out of the State of Confusion
I'm looking forward to the AHRA being a viable body. They're racers for racers, something you can't say about the other HRA/sanctioning bodies. I truly believe after they get up and running they'll be a gigantic step-nthe-right-direction for the sortsman/little guy racer but like anything else in this world...time WILL tell!

AHRA...land of the racers.

Just another sanctioning body that wants to get in on the cash grab.

If any of these money hungry clubs wanted to make it better for the racer they would have a SFI drivers licence and a SFI chassis tag that was good anywhere.

The only thing you would need is a membership or a non member fee for racing at a track that you are not a member of.

That is way to easy so it will never happen.

We all just want a safe place to run our (Kids Collage funded Race Car).. For the Grass roots Racer that wants to take his or her car to the track at a major event, and try to win the big bucks (Winner $1200) thats big for the average racer.
It cost to much to race at NHRA major event, that I welcome the NEW AHRA..

We as racers need to support the local tracks to keep Drag Racing alive.. bring in the Young Guns to keep it going.. Not sure If Ohio and Michigan have any tracks under that umbrella yet but I invite them..

While they'll never match NHRA in terms of drawing the Pros, I think it's a great idea so long as they keep the little guy in mind & form the rules accordingly. I haven't been to their website but I know several guys here have voiced a desire for a return to things like Modified Production & as long as AHRA accomodates "us" they'll at least be viable, if not thrive......

Don't know but the AHRA site and the Thunder Road track site both basically said the same thing that they terminated the agreemen so who knows. The racetrack site says their looking again for a track manager so I hope they are going to be able to keep it open.
