Chevy Ultrabells are cheaper than Mopar Ultrabells. Simple as that, cost less money. You could also just run a complete Chevy glide/TH400 etc and use a CSR one piece shield, even less money than a bell and blanket/case/shield. I have a KB Block with a Mopar trans pattern but the midplate acts as an adapter. I use a Chevy trans on mine. One other benefit, if you travel to race and have a trans issue it is gonna be a lot easier to find a Chevy type trans than a TF.

But wouldn't you STILL need a mid plate to bolt the starter to??? I understand that you want to keep cost down and using chevy parts will be cheaper. I'm not saying that the dual bellhousing idea is a bad one, I'm just trying to figure out how it works.

was surfing around and found this PG to BBmopar adaptor kit that allows use of stock location mini starter. PATC product.
