Chevy Ultrabells are cheaper than Mopar Ultrabells. Simple as that, cost less money. You could also just run a complete Chevy glide/TH400 etc and use a CSR one piece shield, even less money than a bell and blanket/case/shield. I have a KB Block with a Mopar trans pattern but the midplate acts as an adapter. I use a Chevy trans on mine. One other benefit, if you travel to race and have a trans issue it is gonna be a lot easier to find a Chevy type trans than a TF.

But wouldn't you STILL need a mid plate to bolt the starter to??? I understand that you want to keep cost down and using chevy parts will be cheaper. I'm not saying that the dual bellhousing idea is a bad one, I'm just trying to figure out how it works.

if your not running a TF most already have a midplate to mount the minin starter.

All World blocks have the bosses for the chebby pattern but they would not ala cart adding the holes. So I have drawn up the second pattern and am adding it myself.
