One thing in life is always certain, no matter all the good deeds done or wonderful attributes one accomplishes, why is it one single mistake, or screw up is what people recall or one gets labeled..even though we all have had are own rocky spots and stumbles? In my eye's Darrel is one of the greatest Pro Stock Drivers ever past or present. He is like Jeggy is today, you better have your A-game going on when you turn on that top bulb.
Amen Bob! I traveled the NHRA circuit through the 90's for Mopar and spent time with Darrel and Scott (R.I.P.) and can tell you there wasn't a cooler person to talk to or be around then DA. He was the most down to earth driver there period! He also was one of the best drivers ever to race a PS car. I don't care what all of the haters say that didn't know him or never spent any time around him. He was the best driver I'd personally ever seen and the nicest guy as well. I hope he's enjoying the good life and wish him nothing but the best! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

Many people go through life not learning how to "treat others like they want to be treated". There are quite a few on moparts like that and some can actually walk on water...
Leave the guy alone and let him live his life in peace... get over it and GET A LIFE.
Well said!

Maybe true...unless you've lost a loved one from drug abuse then one tends to be a little less forgiving.

Or on the other end of the spectrum, you could have had someone close to you overcome a problem with Drugs...then you would be proud of Darrell, its all perception.

His business is flourishing. He and his son Chase still run it.
