Have many serious street cars running the BS3..
They have good features for street cars like closed loop idle control, fan control (high and low) and other stuff like traction control!
I was mostly interested for the Racepack dash, it has an Odometer, speedo, oil pressure, fuel level etc. Including signal lights, high beam and so on.. I can ditch all my autometer gauges and goto 1 simple dash.
Too bad the guys making the LCDdash for MS dropped the ball and stopped development. If someone needs one I have 1 sitting around.

A megasquirt will work if you are on a budget. If you can wait for the MS 3 that will save you some cash!

I may have to take a better look at the BS3. Does it use built in 02 correction? I was also looking at the Racepack dash as well as the D200 from PCS instead of buying a bunch of gauges. How is the BS3 to tune compared to the others? I am a very computer savy guy so the computer side is no real problem .

Thanks

The BS3 does have built in correction, 95% of aftermarket ECU's have it now. I bought the Street UDX dash and then used the V-net. Nice thing you can log your driveshaft speed, turbo shaft speed if wanted, oil pressure and a host of other goodies. The traction control on a BS3 has allowed racers to get the small tire cars down the track better then before. The BS3 has been targeted more at race cars, but I have seen more street cars as of late start to use them as they've added more options. They just added the E10-E85 flex fuel option that can compensate for different splash ethanol mixes.

The BS3 is a little easier then the FAST, they don't muddy the interface up with useless tables as much, Meat and Potatoes. Still takes time no matter what ECU you get, an MS2 is still the easiest when you use MegaLogViewer and filter through your tables.
Any of the ECU's you can "Couch tune" as I call it. Go drive around and log your heart out, then later that day sit down on the couch and go through your logs.

efidart: have you ever set up the BS3 to run with a mechanical fuel pump like the belt driven aeromotive?

What pumps are you using?

Thanks

No I haven't run with a mechanical pump setup, 1 question why? Maybe if you were making 2500HP?

I run 3 Walbro 255's (GSL392) pumps and they work great, also they are quiet compared to most other pumps.

Most aeromotive stuff out there is junk. I ran 2 A1000's on my old engine (392 cid destroked 440 w/88mm) and they couldnt keep up at 1000rwhp. Went to Walbros and just 2 put out more then the A1000's.

Sequential can be a benefit if you are trying to tame an idle from an aggresive cam.

I'm not sure if it woul benifit an aggressive cam but it is a must to tame large injectors, lets say 160 lb/hr.

Can't speak for the A1000 pump but the pro series pump is very good.

The only reason I was looking at the mechanical pump setup is it is one less electrical failure to worry about. Ive also been skeptical about multi pump setups because of what happens if one pump fails? Maybe Im wrong though.

Thanks
