Need a little help here please. Does anybody know if there were differences between Daytona and Superbird scissor jack handles? Thanks!

I will freely admit that there are a number of folks that know more than I do about the handles. That being said, If you actually have a handle in hand, given time you can pretty easily find another handle.
The paperwork I've seen shows that Custer manufacturing supplied the jacks to Chrysler. I believe they also supplied jacks to a large variety of other places. That is why there are many similar jacks to the Daytona/Superbird jack. None the less, I've not seen someone say I have the exact original Daytona/Superbird (D/SB) jack that I got from a car-motor home-etc... They may be there I'just not seen one.
Handles, I believe are a different story. I think the handles that Chrysler got were exactly the same as delivered to other end users. If you look closely at a D/SB handle there are various deformities in the steel shaft where the handle was bent in a jig(s). Of course the handle also has a certain length of the rods and a specific connection piece at the center. I have found the exact handle before, which las lead me to believe it was a production piece. The supplier may have offered handle A,B,C, or D all for a certain cost or end use. I've also been under the belief that Custer offered the jacks in several weight lifting configurations (the side bars on different jacks are different widths).
I have also found similar handles. The joint piece may match the D/SB, but the bends in rods, rod diameter and/or rod length and/or indentations in the steel rods may not match the D/SB piece.
A picture might help, but a side by side comparison would be the gold standard.
In summation I believe it was a production piece, not limited to the Daytona/Superbird.

Redbird, I agree with what you wrote. The original jack and handle supplier(s) probably used the same pieces for other Chrysler, GM, Ford, etc. applications. I have been told that a late model Chevy (full size pickup or Suburban) jack is very similar to the original D/S jacks, and with slight modifications can be turned into a clone of the original 1969 D/S pieces. I haven't checked into that. This is not my dilemna or question.
Here's the deal. I need a jack and handle for my car. Someone has offered both to me, claiming the jack is from a Superbird, but the handle is from a Daytona and painted orange. Hence, the reason for my question. Aside from the orange color (which I still don't know if it is correct for a Daytona), are the lengths, bends, and center piece the same on a Daytona handle as a Superbird handle? Is there anybody out there who has original cars that can confirm the handles are the same or different?
Thanks much.

Never seen an orange handle for a Daytona, the jacks are red for a daytona, black for a bird,....I've only seen black handles the last several decades,....hold downs are black also,....like I said contact Pete Veight,....you can get his info from DSAC, Winged Warriors, Toy D'Agostino as he carries his line of repro jacks and acesssories,....Pete's last Email is petev8@webtv.netMike

Be very careful of the jacks, there are repop's that are "very" close to the originals. You can get stung. Also, the price may be some indication,if it seems cheap, beware.About a year ago an original SB jack went for 3K on eBay.I have never seen a SB jack or handle any color than black and red jack and black handle in Daytona.

In all respects from your photo, it appears to be an original?,.....most of the Custer jacks offered in Dodge pick ups from the late 60's, and Fords, usually had a coarse thread lift, and a solid base plate, yours appears to have the requirements for a wingcar,....if you don't want it?,...I'll give ya $50 for it!
