There stuff is race stuff. Its not show quality, but its quality none the less. Walt was one of the best guys I've ever dealt with, he rescently passed. He will be greatly missed by one and all, sorry for his families loss. But back to the products, been on my 71 Duster since 91. No problems thus far for me. Thanks, Ken Michalik

Very poor race stuff at that. The hood on my '64 Dodge needed 40 hours of work before paint. All the '65 Dodge stuff I have is wavy, I couldn't even put the parking lights in the front bumper. The scoop also looks like it's starting to separate from the hood as well on the '65. I have all winter though...

Wow I must be one of the few who actually got a good product from them. My hemi hood scoop glass hood for my 69 dart fit perfect with just a light sanding and paint it looks great and at 143 mph its held up.

WOW I can't belive all the bashing going on. The most asked question on this forum is about fiberglass and where to buy. WS usally got very few if any negative comments. Now they are coming out of the wood work.

whoo boy, you sure opened up a can o worms, but i think we're all glad you got a good piece.

This thread is reminding me of the ones bout GER convertors. Despite everybody finding them to be junk, a few lucky souls actually liked the ones they bought!

After a 5k paint job, one trip down the track and boom. Next thing I felt was a lot of air. Looked to my right and door was split in two with the inside held by the hinges and the outside skin held by a cable. Body shop told me that was one of the worst jobs of glueing he has ever seen. I would never use WS again. Thank God I have friends that work at a body shop

I guess I literaly got my doors blown off. My wife was so pissed.

Let me fix that....

I actually stopped bashing them at every opportunity because I got flamed with the old "it's race quality" (bs), "They are good guys" (not to me!), and "they made mopar stuff when noone else did" (so what?). Bottom line is they ripped myself and many other off. While they may be nice people they are lousy glass layers and even worse businessmen. Say what you will, facts are facts.

Hey now, I had a great converter from GER 20 years ago.

RACE stuff can and SHOULD be quality. Now it is EZier to make a HEAVIER part more "quality" ...as has been shown by one company mentioned here.

But then this company makes their stuff with white gel-coat. That HIDES a bunch. And then they also PAINT many of their parts on the underneath.

BEWARE of that practice...from any supplier.

Everytime I see one of these fiberglass threads it makes me glad I bought my hood from VFN. I got it on time, on budget, and no surprises.

I took my VFN hood out of the box and we set it right on the car. The ONLY thing we did to this hood was to install the Dzus fasteners. NO BODYWORK.

I once got fooled into buying a "cheap" fiberglass rear bumper for my car from some crappy company in Florida. I had it painted with the car and then found out it was about 4 inches wider than the car. So I painted my stock bumper and the glass bumper has been sitting in my garage rafters ever since. Cheap is not cheap at all if it falls apart or never fits in the first place.

FWIW, My decklid took little to no work to prep it for paint The hood only needed the scoop seam smoothed (I told them to leave it that way) as well as smoothing the imprint of the R/T decal that was molded into it.

Both fit nicley before they went to the body shop for paint.

I hope your luck is as good as mine was.

When Walt first started out his stuff was much better quality, and he made alot of parts that nobody else offered out of the garage next to his house.

He was a racer so the parts weren't "show car" perfect , but they weren't priced like it either.

As he got older,a son got involved, business picked up and quality suffered a great deal.

It's a shame but that's what happened..

I have WS glass on my car. They were the only ones that had what I needed (hood, fenders, bumper, and upper and lower valance panels). The hood was pretty good for a lift off. The bumper was OK. The left fender needed work, but not too bad, and the right fender needed a lot of work. It had a good size buckel in the front wheel opening. They must have made the molds from a wrecked front clip. I couldn't even use the front valances. Both park lamp openings were shoved in and it was twisted and dented as if it had gone through a ditch. It's not like you can beat dents out of fiberglass. Some quality stuff.

I couldn't even mount my lower valance if I left the fenders bolted on top. The drivers fender was dipped in above the wheel opening 1/2-3/4" I quickly made the call to AAR for new fenders and sold the WS fenders. I did keep the hood and spent many hours making it presentable. First pass it cracked at each front corner of the scoop. I guess thats why I didn't freak out when it blew off the roof of the car in the pits. I repaired most of the damage and primed it and have raced it that way for 2 1/2 seasons. Maybe, just maybe I will get it finished and squirt some color on it before springtime. Hope you get a nice piece.

Good luck with that....Of course you can drive over that might help a lot. I waited 9 months for a hood from those guys. One excuse after another. When it showed the shipping was double what I was quoted and the hood well lets just say it was not the best I have seen. One pass and here is what I got for my almost $800. I fixed it up correctly and once we got done putting it back together and making it fit correctly it looked nice

Almost exactly the same experience I had. Their customer services is HORRIBLE!

I just received a one pice frt end for my 72 duster and am very pleased with it.At first I was surprized it is 2 fenders with bumper pop riveted to fenders, not what I was expecting, but am ok with it now.The fenders are perfect, the bumper just needs a little filler where bolts would be.They said would weight about 30 lbs, another co. said 16 lbs but was twice the money so I went with WS Racing and glad I did. Plus I don't think it weights more than 16 lbs.I said many times RACE weight and that is what I got. My US Body deck lid is a very nice pice also.

Same here, I did need to bond my own cowl to my hood. That was my fault though, I had a Harwood scoop already and when we put it on the VFN hood it looked too small and out of purportion. So I ordered one of VFN's 6" outlaw scoops and all is good now.
