what makes these wheels so expensive?
are they really worth the extra dollars?
i want a set but they are over twice the price of the other weld wheels.
i'm leaning towards the Billet Specialties Strretlites.

I just listed a set in the parts section way less than Jegs or Summit with FREE shipping. They are WAY better in my opinion. I have had a couple sets and will buy another set when I sell these. I need a different style for my new car. They are very high quality. I also have a set of the Billet Special. wheels. They are nice but are NOT comparable to the 2.0.

AlumaStar 2.0 FRONT Billet Spec. REAR

i saw yours for sale, and your car looks fantastic with them on, thats why i want them, but with summits 10% and proshop discount, i'm just wondering what makes them so much better?

They are a TRUE forged wheel. They are very stable at high speed which is why all the 10.5 Outlaw guys run them. Plus the never go "dingy" like the regular Welds and other non-forged wheels. You also have to be very careful with the Billet Spec. wheels. They do not fit with all disc brakes.....dont ask how I know.

No, the rears are already sold. They were 15x12 7.5 BS. Had to run drum brakes with them. They wont work with Wilwood disc but will clear Aerospace with a little grinding. The front on my new car is custom and I need new wheels. The ones for sale are like new. Other than being taken out of the box. Really nice wheels. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Im my opinion the 2.25 BS is WAYYYY better looking than the other. I dont like how the other BS puts the wheel dead on the outside edge of the fender lip. The 2.25 puts the tire just inside the fender. Looks lots better to me.

The welds or the Billets spec? The weld 2.0's work with anything. Its the Billet Spec that give trouble and usually on the rear only.

I see that now....tube chassis. That was my problem with the wheels. Going from backhalf to chassis.
