I can't throw stuff away either. But I do try not to buy any more stuff that I'll never use. I do currently have 2 72 440 intakes (like I'll ever have a use for them) and 3 68-69 383 4 bbl intakes along with truck big block exhaust manifolds. I too just can't bear to see them melted and become 2/3 of a new Kia.
My favorite aluminum 440 intake is also the Edelbrock Ch4b.

CH4B is a good intake , the only RUB , is the coil is not in the factory location because ebrock assumes one will be switching to a holley ... a little time spent with a welder will fix that though ...

doooh , I think I just made more work for myself ...

What is the "best" aluminum intake for a street/strip normally aspirated 440?

Looks like no place for the stock choke linkage to hook to either....

Not sure what the actual # of pounds of difference is, but picking them up is night and day difference.

Enough ... , I think my 69 383 iron intake is 39lbs , the alum was about 20 .
