I've heard several stories about the trucks..
I THINK someone posted on this thread that Sox & Martin were somehow involved in them too
one has to wonder where Snake found his truck after all these years but, suppose its possible ?

Here is my project truck...1972 d 800. 413 5 spd 2 spd rear. I was looking for a c series but this d 800 came up and I couldn't pass it up. 24K org miles fresh rebuild on the 413 new cluch, rad , brakes and 6 RADIAL michelin tires! Cool part is the truck was orange orig paint. I should be able to un fire truck it fairly easily! I had a line on a period correct steel/wood floor roll back/wheel lift but lost track of it.I may have to build a body  Anyone got a spare grille? That D800 fire truck is going to be a great starting point for your ramp truck. I know
a shame to cut up or scrap the bed assembly
but such a very low milage truck with new
equipment. Good luck with it.

Thanks guys the bed is missing all of the pumper parts anyway. I bought the truck last spring and didn't get to it last summer. Other than driving it as is to cruise night! I missed the boast on scrap metal that old pumper body was worth a fortune back last year this time
