Then I drove it back inside and let it cool down and blocked it for about 6 hours.Its still a little wavy and I have a few spots that need attention but its not too bad.Its just an old car anyways , right pops?

One more for today.More sanding tomorrow and some more primer if theres time.The older I get,the longer this crap takes.I only have a couple left to do after this one.Darrells 70 Hemicuda is next!

Looking good! Spray a gallon on.....sand 7/8 of a gallon back off! So what's the "X" taped on the left quarter for?

That was a spot that got some block sanding prior to the heavy fill,just for good measure without going through the epoxy.No kidding about sanding most of it off,too bad I can't recycle it and put it back in the paintgun!!

OK- we have a winner on the color!! Check this out , it is 2009 "Plymouth" Electric Blue Pearl.Close to the original but with some new technology mixed in for effect!! It was a tough choice but I'm glad we can move on now and maybe see some color flying pretty soon. Here it is...Drumroll...

where are you located?We may be actually renting a shop shortly with a lift and a paintbooth so I can hook you up!!We would be able to handle ALL facets of body and paintwork from Racecars to restos and custom paintwork. May even have a mechanic and I have an Excellent MOPAR race engine builder that can build mild to wild engines and transmissions.I will keep you posted.May even be able to become an AMD distributor.

OK- more primer today and this stuff did not want to spray out,it gave me fits.I'm starting to think its a contest to see how many colors I can get this thing before the actual color.If anybody sands this car down again they will see a very colorful combo beneath the paint!

another- wanted to get some primer in the trunk jamb.I will scuff and shoot sealer on the bottom of the trunklid and then paint it.It did not really need much of anything else...

My friend Seamus is one of the painters at work and we were both in the booth spraying today trying to get this thing knocked out.I am very grateful for his help,he masks a car faster than anyone I have ever met.Thanks man!

we got it all blocked out again and it is close to paint.Since it is not a show car we are not going to prime and prime and prime this thing.If you guys have done this stuff before you know how much time and money can be involved with many rounds of priming and block sanding...

Today we got the bottom of the trunklid and hood ready to be jammed in and got to see our custom one off color.I bought extra liquid pearl and house of color flake and we went to town. Maybe next weekend we will be shooting the outs ide of the car.

Hard to see it in a picture but this has a nice extra sparkle with the flake dancing on top of the 2009 Plymouth Electric blue pearl...
