Looking at installing an exhaust evacuation system. I run a short extension on to my 3" collectors and I want to mount the evac tubes per the attached pic. Is this the correct way to mount the tubes ( flush to the pipe ), or should the protrude in to the pipe some distance? Thanks, John

Yes that right but need to stick in the pipe about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. It should have a cut section in it to tell you where it needs to be.. Well mine did aleast..

Ok, Thanks John. I noticed the Moroso system has a cut in the evac tube as you mentioned. I bought the Summit system that is indentical to the Moroso system except there is no cut in the tube?

that looks like the angle you want it in at...try to get the tip of the evac. tube in the middle(center) of the exhaust pipe..also it should be turned around so the opening of the evac. tube is facing towards the rear of the car or going with the exhaust..the exhaust should pull the crank case gasses out of the evac. tube and exit out the exhaust.

You want to turn that tube so it's flush with the flow so as the exhaust flow draws the pressure build up from the engine.I run the same set up and mine is inserted about 1" in the exhaust extension. They do recommend installing them in the collector of the headers but that set up works too.

This is a 4 1/2" extension to my 12" long collectors - same 3"ID as the collector. Car seems to run better with a longer collector, so that's how I run it.
