yeah,,,,my hood is back at the body shop,,,,wasnt happy with it,,,so they are reshooting it,,,,since the cowl is off,,,,I bought new wiper cams,,,arms,,,motor,,,bottle and pump,,,and new rad. overflow tank,,,all from Dan at dodgeconnection,,,and all because my motor went ,,,,,man this is gettin expensive

there ain't nothin cheap about doing these trucks anymore.....
at some point I need to start saving for the 78 d150 resto down the road, way down the road.

Yeah Smokin & 77440se not the only ones with their trucks apart. Right now I have the motor & trans out of mine. The trans went out so while I had it out I decided to pull the engine to fix a couple of oil leaks and redetail the engine.

i tried to do a search but cam up with nothing, anyone know how to get 440 headers for a 81 2wd pick-up?? whats brands and prices are there, also full length will be fine for me.

Don't know about basic searches, but places like Jegs, Summit and etc, have headers,basically the same frame,dodge didn't change that much in those years,good luck,I cut my headers out with a torch,in about 10 pieces,pain in my butt!But happy with manifolds, oh yeah,I like org look better.

Hedman makes 1 3/4"x3" full length headers for 2wd big block dodges. I have a set on my truck. Other than a little work on the 3-5 pipes to clear the frame better they fit great.

well,,,,,went to machine shop,,,,my rings were glued to my pistons and ground down to the same size,,,,,,,ouch,,,talk about low compression..cam is iffy,,,so,,,,all new stuff going into motor......30 over bore,,,might bump up the cam slightly,,,any reccomendations,,,,,and got the green paint from the paint shop so I can finish my firewall,,,pretty much done with all the brackets already,,,not much left but to wait for motor
