I second the M/T ET streets, it's a no brainer.

mickeys are good, but brace yourself. a couple of hard weekends, and they're GONE. bfgs are good also, but the sidewalls go away if you're making some power. a friend of mine with a 1200 hp bb chevelle likes nittos. he's tried every tire on the planet. don't be afraid to experiment. your results may vary.

M/T ET Street radials. I get much more than "a couple of hard weekends" out of them. So does everyone else I know that runs them. CHIP

On my buddys Mustang we run the 325's and 315's till the cords show which is usually 35-40 passes and they hook just as good the last one as the first one. This a 3250 lb car running 4.80's @ 158mph.

One day I will have something cool here.

My car runs 12.30-12.60 with a 1.65 to 1.69 60 foot, depending on the air. I've got ~125 passes, 1 championship plus a bunch of street miles and abuse on my current set of 235/60/15 ET Street Radials.

Can't go wrong with ET Street Radials.

You must have them on a ridiculously fast car, or you're making 20+ passes per weekend. Not trying to pick a fight, but if they only last 2 good weekends then you're using them in an extreme situation. Most people using them go for quite a while on one pair. Like headsup said about his friend's 4 sec mustang, I run them until the chords show at around 45-50 passes. They still hook even with the chords showing. CHIP

I will say this, in florida a few weeks ago at outlaw radial tire race I did see most of the real street cars (275/60 tire class) running the Hoosiers. The guy with the silver dakota was runner-up at the race and I beleive he was running the hoosiers too. But 90% of the outlaw cars run the MT's. There are a few I have seen at MIR that love the new Goodyears sooo who knows, I guess its whatever your car likes too.

I got 135 passes on mine, with 4,000 street miles, and ran them until the cords just started to show. They hooked the same from first pass to last. But my car only runs high 12's/low 13's.

that's about the same as me. i do drive it on the street, so i'm reluctant to drive it with the cords showing.

MTs will last awhile, i traveled to the track & back a few times (110 miles round trip), made a few passes along with street driveing, they still had alot of tread left, another Drag radial not mentioned that hook VERY well too are the Hoosiers, but they don't last near as long as the MTs.

You could pick up dozens of pairs of MT ET Streets for $50 - $100 a pair at Bradenton or Orlando over the last couple of weeks.....those guys don't get many runs out of them in ORTC

Most of us could run them way longer

I've posted this before, a new drag radial vs one of my old ones. 4lbs difference each tire and they still hooked. my current tires with 125 passes look way better than those worn out ones.

I got 3 seasons out of my M/T radials before they started to lose 60'. I do a lot of local summer street driving and make about 30-40 passes at the track a year.

Very consistent 60' times in the 1.62 to 1.63 range.
