I don't think so, It used to be a city or state truck, because it was originally an awful yellow, and it is still yellow under the hood, interior, under the box, and peeling through a bad paint job.

Hi,smokn440. I don't think I've seen a picture of your whole truck yet. Would you mind posting one?
Where did you find a 440 Dodge truck in Hawaii?
That's going to be super nice when done and a rebuilt 440. Unreal. Thanks, Ron.

Looking good!!

Are you going to take the brake booster off to paint? It is only 4 nuts and one pin that hold it in place. I know I would but just curious from the pictures.

I was kind of wondering the same thing too. would be easier to paint with the booster out of the way, allong with the bulkhead connector too, and .........well, you know where I am going with this..

On the master cyl. I painted mine with Stainless Steel paint. Makes a shiny bare metal finish. One bit of warning on a problem I had on my truck, after having the wiper motor out. When I put my wiper motor back in it was out of phase with the wiper postion on the windsheild, so when I hooked up power back to it (hooking up the battery) the wipers came down onto the cowl panel below the windsheild. Luckly not scrathing but they sure could have. I took the wiper arms off, turned the motor on then off so it would postion itself, then reinstalled the wiper arms. Thought I might pass that along to you because I see you have your wiper motor out and that might happen to you. Hope that helps you.

Well I have always loved the mid 70s Dodge trucks, owned a few, then i came across this van:
1977 B200 Sportsman Royal "D" code 440 ! 1 owner, 60K orig, cruise,ac,2 tone green/white,was converted to wheelchair lift when new by Braun,
which included fiberglass raised top, its still got the option sticker under the hood, runs and dries like new! No rust, garage kept, looks like first time it saw snow was this last Jan in IL!
so its now my parts hauler/swap meet transport.
how many of these do you think were made with the 440?

BrianM, I must admit thats a first on me. I have never saw a short bed truck with dual tanks like that. I have seen several long beds, but never a short bed. As a matter of fact mine is the only short bed I had ever seen with dual tanks ( one in cab one in bed) until now. Thats pretty cool, must be no place for a spare tire with the tank back there like that.
