That engine isn't legal for Jr. Fuel, has to be iron block and iron heads. It is legal for Pro Comp I, 7.00 or Pro Comp II 7.50 It's great seeing another Mopar Wedge in nostalgia racing.

Just to answer a couple of questions---
We are staying with the powerglide. The glide we have borrowed now was built for a blown application thus uses heavy components, has a heavier aftermarket case, etc. When we go back, we will have a lighter aftermarket case but the components will be lighter also.
Now as to the question about what class we run---We plan to run with a group called Nostalgia Pro Comp Association(NPCA), headquarter at Indy. They race indexes, starting with 7.00, 7.50, etc. with specific classes for FEDs, altered coupes or roadsters----then other classes for "old style" gassers(pre 1973). So you see a lot of unusual cars----lots of 40 Willys which is what I love. So everyone runs indexes, we want to start with PCII which is a 7.50 index. We plan to get better and hopefully run PCI which is a 7.00 index. And we think we can get there----we may need a few more inches, may need to run a little "pop"(nitro), maybe just more experience and tuning---we don't know yet. The thinking behind the indexes is allowing you can go fast, run heads up, and run reliably by "overbuilding" and slowing down slightly for the class you are running. No electronics allowed----everything a function of the driver----no nitrous!
So far, we are having fun!

Out here and for the NHRA Heritage Series including the March Meet you could either run Pro 7.0....NEI(7.60)..NEII...8.60...Like I said would be sweet to see that out here on the left coast...last years March Meet had 527 racers. It's the worlds largest nostalgia drag race and draws racers from 6 different countries.
