Well....what did they say about the "best laid plans?" Turns out the block I was planning to get may have some issues, the present owner (very stand-up guy!!) is gonna run it by the shop to check things out. Plan B might be go back to slip the bigger solid in the 341 and spray it with a 150 shot right after she goes into second gear. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif) I haven't run a nitrous motor since I played with some Mitsu turbo cars several years back, that would be fun too.

I'd keep the 341 shortblock together, personally.
how about finding another 3.51" crank, diamond 4" stroke pistons with SBC pins, and 6.4" rods. my math puts them at .012" OOTH, and a 1.82 rod ratio (similar to a stock 340's 1.84 rod ratio), which should keep piston velocity down for high winding.
cam, I guess I'd go roller, but that's me...
I'd be tempted to sell the entire 341, and maybe play with some of the RHS heads....
