Just curious, why arent you just asking Scotty? Blocks look nice BTW, been reseraching them a bit, looks stout.

i believe i can use steel rods for yrs and not have to change the aluminum after # passes.
Aluminum rods have come a long ways. The days of 200 laps and out and no street use are gone. A modern aluminum rod, like a GRP will last a long time and can be run on the street. They're also much more forgiving in a engine failure. Just my

Cunningham Rods.
Absolutely. Finish off the bottom end with a Fonzie crank, Potsy bearings, Mr. C. oiling system, and Joanie blower pistons with Chachi wrist pins.

I wouldnt go with a 4.5 stroke for that motor..Its just not needed. I would do a 4.25 stroke, and 4.5 bore...makes 540 inchs.
Whats the reason you are only going with a 4.35 bore? If your not wanting to max the block out the first go around, do what i did. I went with a 4.44 bore. This was with a Indy Maxx block, in case something happened I have extra cylinder walls thickness for a few overbores.

given the bb bore spacing limitations i could never understand why people insist on going right to a 4.5" bore. 4.44 is what i went with. i know i've seen bores over 4.5" but the gasket purchase between the cylinders gets pretty thin imho
