I had a feeling my H-pipe was OEM, especially with the BS codes. I also owned a '71 U-code Charger RT 4-spd Super Track Pak car and from what the copy of the BS I have says, it looks to have had separate headpipes... My GTX SPD is C17 (Dec.17th,1970) and the RT is 503 (May 3rd,'71), maybe they switched over at somepoint during the model year?

The RT sheet lists under the EXHAUST box: LT-93 RT-76

I have a bunch of Broadcast Sheet (copies) from various R/Ts... Here is what I've found

SPD B28 - Lt=00, Rt=01 (U-code) Lynch Rd.
SPD B31 - Lt=00, Rt=01 (U-code) Lynch Rd.
SPD C10 - Lt=00, Rt=01 (U-code) LA - Yes a partial BS from a LA car
SPD 106 - Lt=00, Rt=01 (V-code) Lynch Rd.
SPD 218 - Lt=93, Rt=76 (V-code) Lynch Rd.
SPD 425 - Lt=93, Rt=76 (V-code) Lynch Rd.

So based on this, I'd say they changed over sometime in January...

Cool, thanks Dan. Do you have a parts book with the 01 H-pipe listed?

I looked in the Dec. '72 version of the '70-'71 parts catalog & couldn't find the 01 "H"-pipe.
GG's "white book" shows partial part number - 01 - early '71 b-body.

Looks like the Windsor plant hung "H"-pipes a little longer ...... crazee Canadians

I just ran across this old post & it made me curious I never gave any thought to what headpipes my car came with so I checked my broadcast sheet.

SPD-126 Lt=00 Rt=01 {U-Code} 71 GTX St.Louis
