Launch off idle at 1500, check track position (you know up against the wall, on the centerline, well I'm preaching to the choir here) Shift when wheels touch, then shift again when that funny little yellow light comes on (that second shift is for the Mopar only crowd), cross the line at 7700. Was I suppose to look at the tach before the finish line?

New mild street motor in car based on 68 SS/Factory stock motor out of A body, Launch as hard as street tires car handle, shift at 7800. Both motors built on the stock specs of the crank,no stroked crank.

Fred. Car has 538s and back in the Seventies the transmission had Doug Nash internals in a Chrysler Box,can not remember the first gear ratio, but it had a lot higher number than a stock Chrysler Box.
