Keep the radials. I've been 1.32 sixty foot on the 295-65 M/T Radials. Nothing trick, just the basic Cal-Trac rear suspension. What do you have for suspension? CHIP

CHIP [/quote Well when I bought the car it had air shocks so I took them off and got some cal tracks [the car back-halved] but with out the air shocks it sits to low so I had to put some coil overs on to get the hieght back.

So the car still has leaf springs? You need new ones if you have to adjust ride height w/ shocks. If you have Cal-Trac bars, call Calvert Racing and get a pair of their monoleaf springs and Rancho shocks. CHIP

I have to give my props to the drag radials especially if you have a heavy car. The side walls are alot stronger/stiffer. I had a 1.49 60' with the 275 D/R's this weekend and my best on slicks was a 1.45 so these get my vote

I have a pump gas street 3400 lbs. Duster that has gone 1:43 60. ft times on 315x60x15 M/T ET Street Radials at 10:34 and 128.6 MPH, no power adders It is a ladder bar car with coil overs and a track bar, I also have a set of 13:50x30x15 ET Street bias ply tires on the same size rims as the radials. The radials will run quicker and faster on a good track versus the bias ply tires, the bias ply tires will drive easier on a bad track and not spin at the top of first gear like the radials will on a bad track I have found that after driving the radails on the street, the first pass, no matter what kind of burn out I do , will spin bad, the second pass will hook a lot better no matter on the burn out procedures I do run between 17.5 lbs and 22 lbs in the radails and 9.5 to 11.0 lbs on the bias plys on ten inch wide rims. IHTHs BTW, if you run the air pressure to low in the radials they will not hook
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I only get 45 to 50 passes out of them before chords start showing. They go bald at about 25 passes. I do a fair amount of street driving on them too though. CHIP

We go to the track 2 or 3 times a month, and if you have a good day that will be like 8-10 passes in one day, at 300 for a set of tires i am looking for something that will last longer, when the tread is there they work great no complaint, when the tread goes there goes the 60 foot.
When the tread goes there goes the 60 foot? Myself, and everyone else I know running them, have the opposite happen to us. The tires get better when the tread is gone. They hook great until the chords start showing, then I replace them. Still hook with the chords showing actually. This is the case with the M/T radials anyway. CHIP
