Does anyone have a couple of pictures of one of the old 426 Hemi Marine intake. I have never seen one and was curious as to what they look like.
Thanks,
Mark J

Since no one else will reply, I think the marine intake is very close to the Stage V/MP single plane, dual 4bbl intake. Now someone can correct me since they wouldn't jump in to start with.

There were alot of commercial hemi's sold for marine and industrial use.I have heard stories about them being used for generators and water pumps and boats, being found on top of skyscrapers or out on the fields.

The Chrysler Industrial Hemi was based on the 331-392, I don't think the was an Ind 426.

I was under the impression the 426 Marine Hemi was based on the Race Hemi with X-ram, at least on the first 426 Hemi Marine motors released.
Was there ever a Street Hemi Marine motor? Wasn't the inline Holley intake made by Keith Black and not the OEM?
Here's a page from a '67 Chrysler Marine handout that was inside of a '67 Charger 426 Hemi owners manual. Only one version of the Hemi shown. 525hp@6400rpm and 12.5 comp sure isn't anything like a Street Hemi. For comparasion, the '70 440-6 Marine motor made 375hp@4600rpm and the '70 440-4 (non-HP) made 330@4000.

The little bit of information that I have seen makes me belive that your are correct - based on the crossram. It definately was a dual quad intake. I just wondered if anyone out there had one that could provide a pic.

The Marine intake for the Hemi was an inline, and I have only ever seen a couple.

Cathy Dornier(?) from Washington state had one on her 66 Dodge Hemi, and it ran well. The car was sponsored by some bank up there, and I believe her husband still owns it.

The difference is that it mounted two Holleys rather than two Carters, like the regular steet hemi did. A couple of year back, Chrysler offered an in-line, two Holley intake (they may still do), and although I have know way of knowing, I kind of think that it is based on the old Marine intake.

Guys Mopar Performance has been reproducing them for years now. They even call them the KB marine intake. Pictures available on my website. It is a very good intake for the money. Part number P4510633
