Looking at H beam rods for my 505 stroked 440. Whats the best rod I can get without going aluminum. My 440 source rod ruined my block all rods, crank and one indy head so im definetly not going that route again.

Oliver, Howards, Crower, K1, King, Lentz, Compstar, Corillo, Manley, childs and alberts,
All are GREAT rods,
Eagle, scat, lunati, are all good rods...
We had Oliver Rods in our 588, It was a good piece, Someone out there has it now in an avenger, and I was told its haulin ass again. My buddy has King rods in his late model, and it takes 30+ laps of 8000-idle-8000 rpm and still kicks it hard.

I'm using some of Ohio Crankshaft's heavy duty i-beams in my big block. Very nice rods and needed no extra work.

Where can I pickup the ohio crank I beams and whats the cost
you can pick them up from ohio crankshaft. it would be wise to have your machinist disassemble them, reassemble, stretch the bolts to spec. for whatever bolts they come with and then check them for size and roundness. DAMHIK

We have K1 rods and crank in our 7 second street C-body. Have been in use for three years now, so far so good. We must be making well over 1000 hp.

If someone can repost or link to the pics you will see that they are not the same forging.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Are youguys sure about that,,,
The compstar H beams, The K1, and Manley H beams look way different than the eagles, scat, and cat rods..
Im no expert, but I have looked them over pretty hard side by side here at the local machine shop..

You can add 440 Source to that list. I think you may find differences in all of the rods mentioned so far. There is NOT just one factory forging every Chinese rod.
