Tony say's it like it is?? he speaks for NHRA?? the fact is John Force has a team- 4 car's, it is incumbent upon him to do what need be done to ensure the greatest chances for the championship, that is their goal.his sponsor expect it, you would do the same. if that means helping Robert past Cruz- so be it. if you watched the tape, the car got up and rattled the tires making the car go sideways before it turned to the fence. they asked why he took that lane -he reminded them Ashley just won from that lane. no matter- the worst of it is-Graham Light- stated they would look at the computer readouts of the runs and investigate whether something is amiss?? for crissake- they cant even run NHRA, and now they want to run the cars too? racers must buy their fuel at the track, must use Goodyear tires, must use only one fuel manufacturer-. if you want to get excited about what is going on with NHRA -look into why seat belts, helmets, driving suits, bellhousings, clutches etc. must be re cert, that is strictly to pay off the manufacturers for their continued sponsorships. NHRA should stop making decisions out of their realm of authority if they are not going to accept liability for their demands. - if the Goodyear tire fails that should make NHRA liable for any damage caused with a failure. this whole thing detracted from the US Nat.s the friggin camera's should have stayed away.

I would do the same thing in a heart beat.John has team cars for a reason.John did the same thing when one of them drove for him.Now it's a bad thing?Come on he was just on the losing end this time.People forget John worked his a$$ off to get where he is.I love this stuff, maybe NHRA will get more airtime from ESPN.Lets see Chearleading runs into a billon dollar sport,GET A LIFE.
So you are admitting there is a price your integrity can be purchased for.....NICE You love things that are fixed and cheating? I have a live and it involves trying to mantain a good reputation and integerity...
at the end of the day we all do what we can live with..this time it just happened in from of millions of people.
$hit I'am cheap and easy. That would be a kids play. The best guy almost never wins but the guy with his back against the wall will hand your balls to you.

Ive never been a fan of multicar teams in auto racing of any kind.Since its allowed these things are going to happen F1,Nascrap,Nhra etc.Given the present economy we would be lucky to have 8 car Pro fields without Schumacher,Force the Summit cars etc.Listening to Paul Page for 5 hours the dustup between Force and TonyP was a welcome change.Did think it was B.S. for someone to call John a cripple though. http://www.competitionplus.com/index.php...p;Itemid=6“Then he said it and I couldn’t believe it. But, when they called me a cripple down there, that set me off! It just flared up.”

He could have had the clutch come in hard and blow the tires off at mid track and maybe that would have been fine or maybe win the round but be under weight.... big deal

As much as I dislike what happened, and that it emphasises so much of what I dislike about Pro racing, there are still so many qualities about JF that I admire. The guy is a good family man, takes care of his family and his freinds, and has not forgot his roots.
I think it stinks to high heaven. I thought it stank before, I would like to think that I would not sell out my integrity like that. But, I understand the thought process.
Cruz also put himself in a bad way....he could have put himself into a position where one extra round for Hight wouldn't make a difference.
But, it's over, and it is time for all to move on. Just don't look for NHRA to get any of my money anytime soon.

Pedregon is a whiner.
He had no complaints when he was part of that team doing it.
His brother had all year to win some rounds and not be in that position. He screwed himself.
Why does divorce cost so much?
Because it is worth it!!!!!

From the people I have spoken with, he Tony, got his own ride because of the crap that Jonny boy pulled this weekend. Pluss He wanted the $$$ for himself when he wins, not just a % and a Walley...

I personally dont really care what happened. I rarely watch NHRA for many reasons anymore but just thought I would interject a point. I see many posts claiming if only Cruz had won more rounds he would not have been in the predicament he was. I dont see anyone pointing out that Height was in the same predicament, the difference being Cruz had to race his opponent and apparently Height did not. Who's "fault" is it that this outcome happened? They were in the SAME situation, racing team mates to get in on the last chance oppourtunity and one had to race his way in and the other had it handed to him. So who is the smarter team owner here? Not saying it is right or wrong just wanted to make the point. One last thing I am not a big JF fan by any means, not sure what is going on is good for the sport at all. I see the Formula One scenario going on here or at least getting clooser. Follow team orders or leave...Just saying...
Oh yeah BTW the chase deal is GAY! If a guy has a dominant car then he should be the champ at years end. Not his fault the rest of the pack falls so far behind. It is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of and they lost me as a fan when they brought it about. Wonder how many of you guys running a points series at your local track would enjoy haveing a great start and a big lead only to basically start over 3/4 of the way through a season, loosing most of that lead.
