Tomorrow is a new day . Before church I'll pull it apart and go again. Some of you know I broke the previous gear set. When I tore it down I found some interesting stuff. The (chevy) guy who set it up runs a repair shop and some very fast nitrous cars, low 5s, high 4s in the 1/8 mile. The rear pinion bearing had been clearenced with a burr and would slide on and off the pinion with no resistance. The pinion showed signs of movement in the rear bearing, also and the pinion depth shims were crushed to the point one was in two pieces and another was broken, all were distorted. This is why I'm learning to do it myself. Thanks guys for you're patience and advice .
