Congrats to Dave Oien! Is he a member here? Very cool to have a Mopar going to Pomona. It could've been mine going,I got down to 7 cars and went .001 red. Sunday 2nd round I broke out by .001!
We had lots of fun, despite the "rain-fest" that was getting old fast.

Hope to see you at the Halloween bash Dustin.

Fridays No E gambler I get a 9.30 bike first round, leave and I know I'm fairly late (.070). Decide to run it out as far as I can and dump him off, Which i did, but he ended up running on the number for the win. I locked up the brakes across the stripe, never done that before. I was warned by NHRA tech guys not to do it again or I would be given the boot.

Saturday for the Race of Champions I put together a couple rounds before just losing in a tough race,
Me Him
12.91 dial 13.03 dial
.032 .040
12.935 13.034
101.77 103.03
MOV for him by .0130 both of us running them out the back door. Incremental times were within a couple thou of my previous .91 runs all the way to 1000', seems I caught a bunch of that head wind up top that my opponents newer firebird just slid right through. Thats racing.

Sunday was Rain delay after rain delay, I sat in the front of my lane for 3 of them in a row for about half the day Sunday. Ended up treeing the guy first round, caught him early and peddled it a few times, I was trying to stay away from the brake pedal since a bunch of people had been locking them up and it was apparent the traction up top wasn't there, long story short I got a little to greedy trying to tighten it up and gave the stripe back by .002 Another first, giving the stripe back unintentionally.

But it was a fun and eventful weekend, from the "tornado" that took out our tent at 4am Saturday night to various other shenanigans, Its another for the memory books.

Chris, I will be at the Halloween Race

The race is over, finally. Firebird Raceway (Boise) won the championship while Woodburn placed second and I think Portland and Bremerton tied for third, not certain here though.

Dave Oien was going rounds again today but fell a couple rounds short of winning. He was gracious enough to pose for a picture that I'll try to attach at the end.

Today started off early, getting in some racing before the rain started around 11am, right when I showed up. By 2pm or so the racing resumed and wasn't interrupted by rain again. I can't believe race was complete without one blown engine or transmission, unbelievable. There was a Chevelle that broke a rear end today but he pulled over and was dollied out right away. It was the same guy I lost to yesterday. And, I think it was yesterday, that a Camaro that puked out a 9" Ford, I've seen that one a number of times. He should have had an 8-3/4". If it weren't for the rain this race may have been completed in record time.

I want to thank everyone who came. I've never travelled to race. I've run at exactly two tracks: Woodburn and Portland. Maybe by this time next year I'll have a camper or something and better trailer tires, making it possible to travel farther.
