Yes, the Starter splash shield uses 4
Did the K frame shields ever use these screws? I thought they always had rivets. I think the holes in the frame are a different size.
What are the heat shields you guys are referring to?

2 on each on front splash shield or ? 4 Axle rebound bumpers take captive washer 1/4-20 bolts (4) Mine is 4 spd no spash shield. Rear heat shields should take 1 each on front due to rear portion of the heat shield attached to the tip hangers ?
So I would think total of 6 for 4 spd car and 10 for auto car. Bill, Get ready to take an order.

the 2 smaller K-frame sheilds USUALLY take rivets, but I've seen nunerous used shields where the plastic was damaged due to a bolt turning and digging into them.
rear muffler shields take 3 each I believe. 1 on the front and 2 along the side where they bolt to the side of the frame rail. rear is tucked under the muffler hanger to trunk floor brackets

I guess I'm totally screwed up with this I just removed some clean ones and they were 1/4-20 captive washer on both cars. Self tapping 1/4-20 screws don't need a welded nut in the frame to hold tight. So we need (10 for a 4 spd car and 14 for automatic. logan426

Oh, the muffler heat shields. I'm working on a T/A clone and they don't use those shields.
You can check your frame to see if your car used screws or rivets for the K frame splash shields. Mine used rivets, but if it were screws the hole would be stretched a little and I'd be able to see the cut threads like I can with the starter shield.
