and speakin of trucks,,,,,,,anyone runnin a stock intake and carb on their 440,,,,,what kind of carb is it? i just picked up a thermoquad,,but not sure exactly what it came with originally

all 440 trucks should have came with a thermo quad stock from the factory on a dual plane cast iron intake manifold. If you are looking for a correct numbered carb, let me know,, I can research it for you.

manifold is different, and won't bolt up to a 440. it is the difference between a "B" series and a "RB" series engines
