Over a period of 3 yrs, we ended up equipping 3 cars with Hemi 6 pak inductions,........IMHO the 6 pak induction is a quicker responding system than the 2X4's, has a better fuel distribution thru out the engine, delivers better fuel economy, up to 16 MPG on a 472 crate Hemi, with 4:10's,....granted the car was also equiped with a .68 Keisler OD 5 spd,.....although we never had a "shootout" with a 2X4 equipped Hemi, ....Topend dominance might have gone to the 2X4 set up, ...but the 6 bbl inductions that I created were very responsive, and reliable, and performance, I felt was on par, if not better on the street with the 6 pak induction,....all the inductions created were vacummm operated, no mechanicals, but IMHO the 6 bbls were a lot more responsive to "tuning" than a 2X4, and once dialed in, stayed dailed in
That's all good input, and while the six pack being better is plausable, it's still just seat of the pants guessing, you really can't say one is better than the other without some real world heads up comparisons and dyno testing.

As far as a choke goes...since there is no heat in the intake of a hemi will the manual/cable choke mech. from a 4150 series Holley fit on a 6bbl center carb?
I'd see any 2nd gen hemi equipped vehicle as a 3 season car at best....I don't see the need for a choke. I run a mighty demon on my 440 with no choke and it starts right up and idles just fine. have to "goose it" for maybe 15-20 seconds.

Maybe this is why the six pack 440 cars could take a hemi or at least keep up with one on the street.. From what I have read and seen the hemi's were hard to keep in tune.....
I've given a few Hemi cars a run with my 440/6

I wonder if any one bought the Hemi Six Pack manifold and what happened to it when Arlen Vanke had one for sale at the first Mopar Nationals. Another thing I should of bought in the day. That day was a feeding frenzie for Hemi Parts Arlen had for sale, Wish I had a cart or more arms that day and I would of bought a lot more Hemi stuff.

I would think the sixpack setup would have been better on the street than the dual fours. With the 4X2 setup, you have four barrels opening during part throttle.
originals operated on the primaries of the rear carb for a good percentage of pedal travel. so if you were driving it normally (ha!) you were driving on two barrels. when i could keep my foot out of it, i used to get 14mpg average with my car.
i think i only did that once though, with one tank of gas, as i was curious as to what mileage i would get. the rest of the time it was

What Mopar Performance vendor can get me one of those 6 pack Hemi intake manifolds #P5153738? Called Mancini Racing and they told me it's not in the system. And other vendors haven't returned my e mails with my questions. So who want's my money? It's listed in the current Mopar Performance catalog, and another Moparts member has one. I want a wall hanger part. Thank's.
