I'm looking at buying a set of tubular upper control arms for my Duster. (for a coil over conversion) From what I see there are 3 options. CAP, Magnumforce, and BondoBob. Bondo just had a baby, so I'm assuming that's why I haven't gotten much PM response from him. That leaves me with Magnumforce or CAP. Looking at them by comparison, the Magnumforce versions are $379 + $35 to powdercoat. So $414 total. Plus I have to ship them from California to Michigan. The CAP stuff is $300 +$15 for heim joint upgrade. So $315 total, and they are already powder coated, and built in Michigan. Any reason why I should spend $100+ more on the magnumforce stuff? Thanks for the info!

I have Reilly Motorsports on mine. My brother has CAP (Mancini) on his. Bondo wasn't building them, when I was looking for a set or I'd got them from him. I'll try to post some pictures later today. Reilly Motorsports in PA.

Just a quality thing, or performance?
I'd probably get them from Bob too, but again they are $100 more, and I don't know when I can get them.
I need to weld in upper shock mount so the bodywork can continue. But without the UCA, I don't want to guess and put the mount in the wrong spot!

There was a thread about the one arms that broke. They were new and the guy crashed a pretty car.Cheap dosnt mean good.Id get Bobs or RMS.They both show quality. How much is your car worth. If its a 100 bucks buy cheaper.Never could figure why people spend $$$ then want cheap for steering or brakes. They are the most important things on a car.Rocky

No I understand, if I didn't care, I would have never posted. I would have just bought the cheapest ones right off the bat...
But cheap doesn't always mean bad either, I'm not out to waste money.
By the way I did a search, but I can't find the broken UCA thread. Anyone have the link?

I thought I had the link from where it was posted before - from sending it to others - but it appears to have been removed. I do remember that once people started asking q's for actual FACTS it went quiet.(funny how that happens!) As to the arms, all of the CAP stuff that I have seen has been quality parts and well priced. I think he will be at Columbus for the C C this coming weekend. Hope whose ever parts you buy works out for you.

I got the magnum force ones...
They do look good, but their customer service is CRAP.
As some of you guys know already, I live in Lima-Peru.
I called em up and ordered a set of A Body arms.
When they get to Peru, turns out they sent me the wrong ones (B Body).
I called em up to see what would they do to remedy this, and they said I could shipe em back and they would send me the A Body ones. Yeah , right, after paying freight and taxes they want me to return em...I had spent $150 on top of these already to get them to me, and they wanted me to spend probably another 70 bucks or more to send em back, so they can send me the right ones and I would have had to pay import costs and freight again???? NO WAY.
They were real stubborn about it...I had to buy a second set of A Body ones (they gave me a $15 discount...sheesh!) and the 2nd time around they didnt send me the aluminum spacers (guess thats why they discounted me the 15 bucks).
I will never buy another item from magun force again for that alone.
Id stick with bondobob or Bill Reiley.
CAP have crappy welds from what I have seen.

CAP UCA with urethane for street. Have to supply your own "bushings". That's my only real gripe. Another issue is the bump stop won't hit the tubular uppers square. Bondo puts the bumper on the arm. I like the RMS better than CAP but, would get Bob's stuff now if I could do it over.

When I went to Bill's upper arms (RMS) and front struts, it completely eliminated the stiction in the front suspension!! And they are very nice and priced well. Excellent quality and customer service.
