Is there any pics of it in the bag when it first went in? I'm guessing the bag had too much air in it. The vault filled with water, and the pressure popped it next time they should try one of those vacum bags you see on infomercials.

I'm starting to feel like DennisH.. This has turned into a friggin circus..
I'm excited to see the car and the contents, but the people running the show there in Oklahoma is a joke..
What could have been very educational and valuable to our society has turned into a laughing matter and its only a matter of time before you see this topic on Davids Lettermans top ten list..
From unearthing the car 2 days early and putting up the screened fence to keep people from seeing it.. all the way to Boyd Cottington rushin in like he's John Wayne to save the day.. It just makes me ill..
I bet when its all over.. we'll find out the City, or the promoter or someone received big corporate money for sponsorship..
I thought they weren't supposed to un-earth it till today. And like wtheck is Boyd gonna do there? He's useless to them

It's only a circus on here and other websites from the anticipation. The Tulsa people are only doing what they need to do to get the car out of the ground, drain the vault, and lifting it out for any clean-up. The real damage was done years ago and I'm sure they thought they were protecting the car as well as they could in 1957. Too bad they didn't build an above ground vault. Here's hoping it's better than expected.

I think those are sheriff department deputies but Tulsa does have a krispy kreme store.
That's a new money saving policy of growing your own bullet proof vest instead of buying one. Another benefit is your always wearing it

Wasn't really a lake it was a big stock pond in Nebraska ... One side (up side) looked good down side , where it laid ..not so good
Someone stole it from dealership and ran it into pond ..1 or two yrs old when it happened
Maybe I was being a little kind about condition, but yeah, that's the one, thanks Bigdad.

Too bad they didn't have today's tech so they could've put a camera in there with it, now that would've been cool to see.
A sump pump would have been helpful. They even had those back then.
