Silly flip of the week: VI days ago, I purchased a wrecked front-end / airbags deployed car for parts [I thought at the time]. It lacked an owners manual, but that's a subject for another thread. After looking closer at it and taking stock of the spare pieces I have on hand, I thought I'd take a crack at fixing it. This afternoon, I was in the home stretch on the path to flipping it when the phone rang. It was the seller, who had found another item for the car (alas, NOT the owners manual). On a whim, I decided to drive over in the car that used to be his, and not say anything. As I place the extra part in the back of the car, he comments "well, THIS is a pretty nice car". I reply "yes, but it needs a windshield..." goes the seller, realizing what car it is. He takes a walk around the front of the car, and marvels at the transformation. Well, he now owns his car again, and I get just about the target profit in my pocket WITHOUT messing with the windshield getting a smog check or entertaining CL morons.
Down to just a blue car now.

If you buy it back after he wrecks it again....of course you know that will no doubt create some sort of tear in time/space and create a black hole...

That would be just fine with me (the part about wrecking it again, NOT the part about the pink panties). Also... In the process of fixing stuff, I identified and corrected a fairly common [in this type of vehicle] short in the wiring, getting back both the dome light AND the taillights. The seller had neglected to mention any of this electrical gremlin stuff at the time of the sale. (In his defense, I was putting what I claimed would be a PARTS CAR onto my trailer.) They were turning backflips when they found I had fixed what had alluded them for DAYS and had then given up on. Yep, they had been driving around in a vehicle with no dome lights or taillights.
Down to just a blue car now.

Yet the car had front end damage..
Good to see the universe has a sense of humor.
PS. Why would he need a dome light if he had no owners manual to read by it?
