I was at Target today during an off time. Seems the lights in their refrigeration units are on motion sensors. Makes sense to save energy. Only place I've seen them really functioning before was at museums for one lone display at a time. Maybe Target has always had them but I've never been in the area when no one else had activated any of them. Anyway - walking down the aisle completely quiet and dark then click - on comes first one on either side, click - on, click - on as I walk along. It really put out a creepy feeling, like the machines were monitoring me.

They all use those motion activated LED lights in the food sections at Targets around here.
At the warehouse I load containers at, the owner has put motion activated lights in there as well. Kinda of wierd walking into a pitch dark high-ceilinged warehouse and have the lights come on as you go..
(does save a pretty good amount of electricity he said over having them all on, all the time when alot of the place is only used for storage)
