-Part II-

Mickey gets wired to the grille.

After returning home with Mickey, he sat around idle & listless. I knew he missed his former life of mayhem, but what to do?

My sister had also returned home. She worked for one of the airlines that summer. I worked at the airport on the other island.

Between the two of us, we pretty much knew everyone in the local airline industry, from fuelers to pilots.

I stopped in to see her one day, & she was not at home. Her Samurai was in the drive, so........

I took Mickey & used wire ties to secure him to the grille so she would know that I had stopped by.

Several days later, she noticed him.

She of course recognized him & moved him to the grille of my roommates car.

He was everywhere after that for about two years. Someone would say;

"I went outside & found this on the grille of my car, what the......."

Someone would wink, & just say, pass him on.

At the end of my shift one day, I spotted him on the grille of a car I did not recognize. He was soaking wet & very dirty from road grime, very much the vision of a drowned rat. I decided then that it was time for him to retire, so I cut him loose & took him back home.

After a quick run through the washer & dryer he looked quite presentable again.

So, for about two decades, he has sat in a box, idle & listless, missing his former life of mayhem until.........

You already know part III.

Of all the stuffed cartoon characters with removable pants that have been zip-tied to multiple vehicle grilles, driven around Alaska and then finally removed and washed, he is by far the cleanest.

Great summation but a little long for a movie title.

Maybe just........

'The Life & Times of Removable Pants'

I could be wrong, but that title has probably been used, and did not star a Mickey Mouse related person...

It's the end of a nice weekend. I brewed two batches...an English IPA and a Rogue Brutal Bitter clone.
