What spots would the KV stamped hose have been used on orginally ? Also, what are the correct clamps for the 3 port breather and the brake booster ?
Another thing I have been wondering about. Exhaust manifolds, Since they were bolted to the motor prior to painting, Wouldnt they be pretty much entirely covered with paint instead of the slightly over sprayed look most people believe is correct ?
I know If I were painting them at the factory I wouldnt bother trying to keep the paint off of them. I would just cover them completely.

moparo,
Don't get me wrong, not picking on your car/engine, it looks fantastic. However that looks like blue paint overspray on the upper rad hose, back of the alternator, assosiated wiring harness, and throttle return spring? If so that isn't original.
Scott. I do not own that car. When did you see that car anyway?

Thanks Scott , Guess my question was confusing,, but you answered it, my engine is blue and has the hump. From an earlier post I thought the picture of the hump stated it was cast in January and the one without in May, but must have been May of 1970, and the hump in January of 1971. Whew!...

this is a 71 318 cover i have.
Thats what I used with a piece of KV hose for the vent line to the apron which I believe had a crimpped clamp on the oher end originally. What about the line to the carb ? Same clamps ?
