Need a little help here. I have a basic 383 bench 4 speed RR with the Ralleye Green Color. I am not sure if it was an a14 or a15 code. The fender tag was missing and ditto on the build sheet. Any help with a Dupont basecoat numbers would be appreciated. Also the inner quarters need to have that sound deadener shot on them. What is it? Where can I get it? I want this to look back to as stock as possible on the outside and inside.

Thanks.

V6W - White(W) side stripe down the side of the car which would be part of that A14 Spring Special Package

The A14 is a rare option. It was released in the spring of 1969 to boost RR sales. It consisted of vinyl roof, magnum 500 road wheels, belt mouldings, black hood paint, sure grip rear end, F70X14 fiberglass belred tires, and bodyside paint stripes.

Mine - dead original 1-owner car - had the double tape stripes on the sides, not painted ones. Somewhere around here I have its window sticker.

I think you pretty well covered it.

From what I can tell:

For 69 RR's built for sale in the US,

6.7% of coupes and 11.2% of HT's had the A14 package.

2.7% of coupes and 1.9% of HT's had the A15 with T87 (RWL Polyglass)tires.
1.1% of coupes and 0.6% of HT's had the A15 with T85 (RWL Fiberglass) tires.

5.4% of the convertibles had the A15 package.

I have a 414 spd A14 L.A. built Road Runner in bahama yellow. The package consists of everything listed above, except they are all V6- tape side stripe not V7- paint stripe. Also T85 is RSW not RWL, I guess for the people who didn't want the new Raised letter tires.

this from the old a 12 forum

dont hold me to anything

while back I posted a question on the boards about F6 correct color well I got a Qt formula
from Mirror Image out in Indiana so i thought
i'd share it with al those who inquired about it.
You will have to muliply this formula if you need
more than a Qt.

F6 Qt Formula PPG DBC Basecoat
tint---------cumulative parts
DMD662 -----------89.8
DMD647 -----------98.8
DX685------------129.1
DMD686 ----------222.6
DMD690 ----------368.7
DMD640 ----------691.0
DBX689 ---------1016.5

and w/o a tag how do you know its a S/S
whats the assembly plant and first 3 letters of the vin ??
and BTW the a 14 car i have is a stripe delete by the tag and what coronet r/t has said

The paint code would be 97 for Rallye Green for a Plymouth Road Runner in 1969.
Do not ask for F6 Bright Green Metallic, that is a Dodge only colour and won't look right on your Road Runner.

The Plymouth Rallye Green is similiar but a but darker shade of green.

I remember reading an article somewhere (MCG?) that said the Chevy rally green was the same formula in 1969?

Y'know, every Spring Special '69 RR I've seen has also had belt moldings and hood stripes, as my car did.
