Putting my roadrunner back together. when i got it it was a stripped shell. i purchased most of the wiring for the car and now im having a bit of trouble finding out where the fuse block mounts to.Does it mount on the dash frame like an a body?, it doesnt mount to the bulkhead like an ebody for sure. Also the wiper switch there is two flat spade terminals not being used,is this where you put a jumper if using a 3spd motor? I dont have a motor but i have a few 2spd a body motors and some 3spd e bodys, will any of these work?

Thanks!!!

Glove Box

I had the same problem. There is a metal tab in the glove box where a big philips head screw threads thru the fuse box, and into this metal tab.

I'll get you a picture later if someone has not already.

1968 Road Runner right?

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

My '68 (build date 3/22/68) mounts to the dash frame below the radio.

Single large philips head screw through box to under dash.

you don't need the liner. Look under dash frame at left hand side of glove box opening. You'll see a large screw hole. Box goes in with fuses faceing down. It's held in with a large philps head screw.

There is no jumper for a three speed wiper. If you have a three speed switch it will have a resistor hanging off it. Like a small ballast resistor. There should be no extra spades at plug.

Your harness may be for a car with 2 speed wiper.

Here's a 2 speed. Note motor sticks out not lays side ways. If your gonna run a six pac or six pac style air cleaner you need the three speed wiper. Air cleaner will hit the 2 speed motor

Sorry this is all I have but it looks like the philips head screw goes thru the metal tab first then the box. 69

This is looking seated in the passenger seat.

I am running a GM 1 wire alternator. i previously had the car running with a painless 12 circuit kit,and their was a provision for the alt. wire.

To wire the Gm 1 wire alt ,should i just run one heavy power from the alt to the battery? I believe the alt is internally regulated and im running msd,so i really dont need much of the engine harness i dont believe??

Just run the one wire to the battery esp if you have a main cut off switch in the Back.

Connect the red and the black amp meter wires together.

Since the MSD it is wired from the inside for your signal wire you can tap off of the brown wire from the ignition switch to the middle of the firewall connector and the Black hot wire (or any other hot wire) from the Amp meter.

That looks like you mounted it backwards. It should be hanging the other way, I think. Seems like you would not be able to access the fuses the way you have it mounted.

i.e - you have the top and bottom right, it needs to be rotated front to back.
