I didn't really consider the JB weld but this stuff is suppossed to be good to 1000 F

I filled my grove by leaving the wire in and taking a big mill file and filed the wire down to the block surface. Made a very smooth surface and you can hardly tell where the grooves were. Running composite gaskets on it now and no problem at all.

No o-rings then hell no...there has to be some type of fire ring to hold in cylinder combustion pressures....coppers use the o-ring as the pinch point, typical felpros use the metal ring around the cylinders that has to compress slightly to create the pinch point, MLS style gaskets use embossing to create the pinch point....might as well just not use a gasket if no pinch point...no difference.

Results on using those thin spacers for head gaskets later with pictures. going to deck the block now and use 1105's. got over 40 runs with a new 452 inch best of 10.48

Had o-ringed block on and on!

But I ordered SCE .032 and was going to use .025 welding wire which was .005 above deck. well speed shop said check you have them in stock guy at SCE says right in my hands. speed shop said hang on to them and right to shipping?? 2 1/2 weeks later he phones and they yea we have them in stock will ship one of these days. So on went these with lotso goop.
