We decided on going with the cast world block from Ray Barton. The 2 big reasons for this choice was time, it's already shipped

and cost 2600 rather than 6000+ for Indy or 5000 for the Keith Black which was 12 weeks away.
Bob @ Barton's it going to help me chose another Camshaft and or change the rockers to 1.6 from the 1.5 harlin Sharpe.
The rocker shafts on the engine now are bent along with the mounting studs. Barton sells a better deal so he says? I haven't seen them but he describes them as being individually mounted to a plate which bolts to the head. I feel getting away from the one shaft which holds all of the rockers will be a good thing for several reasons.
The old Mopar 500 block is out of the car and now I can see the crack in the number one hole on the thrust side running up and down to the cylinder.
It's huge over 2 inches long.
I may now see why I could only get 5 inches of vacuum from the pump. Cylinder leaks from the walls bulging

It's such a shame that block wasn't tested before it was bored to 4.5

I would guess its just so much scrap metal now?
