charlie, what seems to be the biggest performace difference between the auto and stick cars? curious as to what kind of clutch you are using? ever talk to rob youngblood about one of his duals? i know you guys are no strngers to stick cars. i run a softlock that he had modified and am very happy with it. my next move will be to one of his dual discs. i've talked to you on the phone before about used jerico gears. i don't know if you remember, seemed like you were pretty busy putting a short block together.-dan

And to answer someones previous question, I have no inside scoop on the Mopar deal in Vegas, It would be nice though...does anyone know for sure who is going?

According to Ogburn post on Marie's site, Warfish, Henson, Pancake, and West Coast are going to have a shootout for $10K to win.

Sounds like a good one to keep an eye on with that line up. Westcott and Henson should definately be ones to watch.

Did originall 68 SS Hemi A bodies use the regular steel engine mount brackets (like 68-69) B bodies, or was there a special pair of brackets? I believe Kramer's sells special 68-only brackets.

Anybody know? Seems like they would pull what they had off the shelf

Jim Schild has an excellent book about authenticating the 68 Hemi SS cars - his email is jschild@htc.net

DeFrank & Faherty, who are both expected to be in attendance at this race, are not at the track yet. Other than that, there are 13 cars in attendance so those two would make a 15 car field. Those include:
Westcott's 2 cars
WCH's 3 cars
Pancake
Barton Dart (I understand it's been sold)
Hopkins
Henson
Vierra
Raines
Raybourn
Mazzolini

Some are running today but they're all shutting off early.

Well then I don't know who the other car is! Ogburn told me but it went in one ear and out the other. LOL

Thanks, Jesse.

Here's info from round 1 qualifying...bear in mind this came from Ogburn and could be off some.

1. Houser 8.847
2. Henson 8.848
3. Pancake 8.85
4. Raines 8.89

Barton and Ogburn both ran 8.90
Westcott Sr. 8.93

Westcott Jr., Mandella and Jenkins all shut off early due to spin or whatever.
