well stela,, or missy,, or whatever... you cant deny that charlie can get his care down the track. its just how hard on everyone else is why i get on him sometimes,, everyone has problems and has to figure things out. looks to me that the torque curve was moved up which is probably the manifold,, though for sure the thing is making power. to put it in context,, to people that dont pay exact attention to these cars,, when bucky ran 8.51 at maple groove,, he picked up 30mph,, which is rockin,, 29 is good,, 28 is the normal,, 27 you are down on power or a problem somewhere. when fred ran that 8.49,, i think he picked up 28,, though like i said before,, i think a dart looses 1 or so mph in the back half because of aero reasons. the only wonder is if he has to put a looser convertor in it or more gear which will cost some of that top end,, to get it to acclerate in the front half,, though who knows..
stella,, or whatever,, im sure you could call westcott sr,, i think his cell number is up in an earlier post and get all your info,, and place your order.
from one hemi guy to another,, nice run charlie,, im sure youll figure the front half out,, my hat off to ya,,,,,,,,....,,,,,,..
well fred picked up 29 or so in the backhalf on his 49 run,, i was wrong,, and there was a tailwind at gainsville,, im told. later..

another thing,, if anyone takes pictures of intake manifolds,, or anything that they think is "cutting" edge,, PLEASE DONT POST ANY PICTURES ON HERE.. we all try to to get the edge on the competition,, and its har to keep an eye on who walks up with a camera,, so out of respect of the racers,, please dont post those kind of pictures..

Actually, Jeff I am very impressed with your sportsmanship and how you can give CW credit for his amazing run after what seems like a turbulant past. That is great! Do you drive a car too? My late husband used to love taking part in all the races. I have been keeping up with reading and such, since his passing and finally feel comfortable posting on a site like this. I have no childern we tried but no such luck, being an enthusiast gives me something to do when I am not working. I am a speech therapist it keeps me busy during the school year and at the hospital in the summer months. The people here seem real nice. I am impressed with your last post and I just thought you should know I meant no offense by mine. Like I said I am impressed with your sportsmanship. Cw did make an amazing run and seems to be quite a talent. What exactly is your specialty? I bet you are a real talent in your own circle. ~Stella

Wow again! There must be a time delay of sorts because I am not impressed with this post, of yours. I did not see either of these on my computer when I posted my 7:24 post, they must have come on when I was posting my message to you. You are kinda losing me here. You sound angry for some reason, there is definately a tone to you last post, not sure why? Evidently, I am missing something. I will have to rethink ever posting here again. I was hoping to find a new circle to talk about racing with. I may have to look elsewhere. Jeff, you are kinda weird, I think. Thanks to all of the people who welcomed me. ~Stella

Vern, thanks so much for the help and the website. I checked it out and it looks like a nice place, like he really has something going. I took the liberty of calling one of our old friends from the track, they are pretty up on all this stuff and the people who do work for the drivers. Apparently, Jeff doesn't do work for any of those people, in his customer gallery anymore, especially CW. That is crazy! He needs to update his site, if that is the case. Nonetheless, it looks like he has the potential to have a nice little business going for himself, just seems to be having a bit of a time at the moment, we all have hard times I suppose. Thanks Again~ Stella

Camdog~ I agree entirely with Jeff and you on that and I am sorry, I did not mean that was a weird or unacceptable post, maybe I should have been more clear on that. Thanks for your help on that! Seriously, these guys work hard and have to protect the goods. This is certainly a high level of competition! Have a great night! ~Stella

I used to care when people took pics, but it is really ridiculous to cover up an intake, or whatever. I mean what are you gonna see on the outside of a manifold. I put a pic of my new billet runner intake on the old thread, but it got deleted. It was nice to meet stewart p today, he had me sign some old pic he had of a factory dart, they kinda acted like I didnt know what it was, but I did. we smoked the clutch in stick car on the last run, although we did get it to shift all 4 gears finally. I am trying to get my car to make some time in 330, it is a little weak there. The track is a little soft. I am attatching a pic of my new intake again, I am proud of my creations, and like to show them. I think it is lame when all the barton cars have to put towels over their intakes, what, do they have a cold? and I would like to welcome stella to the fray, we are going back to mooresville next week, so if you want to come out I will give you a t shirt. Looks like rain tomorrow, so I am not sure what we will do. and stew, stop back, I want to talk to you. later cw
