Troy was working on a cutout template his Super Stock Dart clone. He's got an "as delivered/picked up" picture of Charlie Castaldo's Dart. Kinkos could make up a life size enlarged print of the picture. The car club's got a digital projector and I thought it might be more accurate, cheaper, and you could do more checking of the scale (rather than someone at Kinkos). So here some picture I took of the process... We made lots and lots of adjustments for keystone effects. Measured horizontal, vertical, and diagonal to the 1/16" to make sure the image was not skewed. I drew on the digital picture horizontal and vertical lines off of the center of the axle also. Then the tracing began. That was easier and faster than the setup actually....

Or you could just take an opposite side front fender, turn it around and approximate off of it...
Was a front fender the basis for the original rear templates?

In photoshop I can flip the image over to use it for the other side.
Another idea was to try to project right onto the car.
Could use the same idea for other things like vintage race car lettering.

We were ok on the scale because I new how big the wheel is. For jokes I measures the lug nuts and they were also 3/4"!! (Hemi A bodys had the large lug nuts)
....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!
