a buddy and myself are trying to find out what it would take to make a comfortable 11-1200 hp big block. is it possible without going crazy with titiaium this&that and exotic parts? just big cubes, roller cam and a good set of heads?B1's?? try to keep the camshaft at a liveable size(meaning not having to change valvesprings every 10 runs etc) and maybe only spin it to around 6500-7000 rpm. is this an unreasonable request? or is there some combos out there that are exactly like this? we have NO interest in trying to run pump gas, so big compression is ok.also, would be open to adding nitrous if the combo only makes 900 h.p. lets here some combos out there that fit the bill. what block, heads, valve train, crank, rods, etc.will it take to perform and live?? thanks in advance...i'm all ears
To meet all of your criteria you will need a power adder.

540" Predator naturally aspirated. Might need the tunnel ram though.
anyone running a combo with predators and 1 carb??? not to stir the pot... but did eddie run a single carb with any luck?if so, any idea how much hp he got with 1 carb nat. aspirated. or was a tunnel ram w/ 2 carbs needed to really gain big power? i really never payed too much attention to his combo, as i felt it was waaaaay out of my world. keep the comments coming!

Be quiet. Everyone knows that Fords don't make any power.

Well my little baby motor makes decent power NA with a single 4 set up. The problem is to make that kind of power NA is gonna require tons of compression and cam. Plus a motor that is taken close to the edge. Mine actually has room to grow in both camshaft and compression(cubes for sure), so we may get a little closer when it gets freshened up and we go with a little more cam and compression.

How much is decent? Big difference between 1000 and 1200 HP. Didn't Jason put your motor together? That's worth 200 alone.

I agree there is a big difference between 1000 and 1200. I am closer to 1100 now. With the Q over C14+ maybe even a bit closer now. Yes Jason put it together and Jason will also be freshening it when the time comes. We have already discussed some changes that will get me closer to that number. He feels there is a more left to be had in it as it sits with compression and cam, but we are talking 50ish hp realistically. My cam is actually pretty small compared to similar all out type MC headed engines out there, I have seen similar headed engines with .170"+ more lift and 10-12 degrees more duration.
Keep in mind my engine is 100+ cubes smaller than what is doable in a BB Mopar. I can also make it a bit larger but being a low deck I am somewhat limited there.

A max effort 600" B1/MC Heads w/ single 4 would get you 1125-1150, not quite sure it will hit 1200. I would guess peak HP at around 7700 and trap at 8000 (springs every 50-75 passes) The B1/MC heads kick ass if done right, and I feel they have the capability to hit 1200HP in a completely maxed out effort, 1100 with nothing special. Estimated Cost for 1100HP would be $30K carb to pan and for 1150HP, it would climb to $35K ?? Our B1/MC 596" goes 160mph @ 3350# which calculates to approximately 1100HP.......only ET'd 8.61 so far, I think it has high 40's in it once geared to trap more than 7500rpm Hey Al, we are thinking of going smaller to race NMCA next year, you wanna trade alum blocks

The Q is worth between 25-40 HP. Jason speaks very well of you BTW. He's a good man to have in your corner.

Call Bischoff or Uratchko and tell them ya want an NMCA prostock style B1 MC or PSO at 572+, which is bigger than their class legal 525s.
Probably get ya to 1200 w/a single.
Uratchko proved he could get 1000 out of a 416ci W-8 w/a single.
