"Thought Toyota came out and stated that the engines weren't cleaned properly and when assembled had metal shavings in them causing most of the issues." Yes, the machining debris destroys the engine. There are other performance issues beside the catastrophic Eng failure. Trucks stalling at terrible times- usually accelerating from a stop and long delayed response when depressing the accelerator when attempting to leave from a stop. People are complaining of non-meaningful things done at the dealer to their trucks that offer no improvement. But Replacement parts are not easily available, and customers are without their vehicle. Toyota appears to be cherry picking what vehicle has the problems and which do not.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

Always a silver lining. Due to the overwhelming rejection of the poor-quality Hurricane 6 engine in the Rams- Stellantis is bringing back the Hemi in the Rams. Hopefully the tick is remedied. CDJR needs not a win- but many sales success Wins. It's just a shame CDRJ is not an American owned company. The Challenger and Charger were truly amazing in that- younger people who don't know and who don't care about the 1963-1972 era of great Mopars would buy the modern Dodge muscle simply because they like them! Thats what you want- the young demographic buying your product. Harley Davidson is an example where only the older crowd that has an affinity for the 60s stuff Buys HD bikes (And the older guys generally have the money for such an expense.) You want preferably to appeal to all the age demos and present different pricing options. Many don't know this, but the (Modern times) Challenger consistently outsold the Camaro. This is huge! Us older guys know that traditionally the Chevy Camaro sales ALWAYS buried the sales of the Mopar equivalent. Noot only did it out sell the Camaro it was increasing production numbers almost every year of it's production even though it went with the same body for like 15 years!
I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

This is what happened under Carlos Tavares. He saw the the V8 Rams, Chargers and Challengers were good sellers- at least for Dodge. But not only did he cut costs, introduce unwanted and defective engines- he also cut the beloved V8s when he did not need to. Then he simply raised the prices by tens of thousands! He's quoted as wanting CDJR to be a brand like Mercedes or BMW. Dodge has always been a value brand not a luxury BMW type brand. The new team in charge of CDJR has their work cut out for them but at least this team knows where the previous management went wrong. There is rumor of Stellantis introducing a dual overhead cam V8. I don't care for this option. My opinion only - But when the domestics ( and domestic in name) make DOHC V8s they seem to suffer from timing chain issues, and when the chain wears out or worse yet jumps time due to length increase or oil psi failure- it's devastatingly expensive to repair.

I'm sure your correct, what happened to the OHC V8 that Mopar was installing several (10 or so+) years ago?
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
