Good evening Moparts,
I wanted to pass on, to those that knew him, Ted "Diego Ted" Montano has passed away on Dec 10, 2024. He was a stapple on here and a moderator throughout the 2000's and 2010s. In fact, I met him through this website over 20 years ago. We did a lot of drag racing across the southwest together. We met due to a love of Mopars and found out we shared many of the same interests, music, motorcycles etc. We were both Navy vets. Sadly, his father who had a great passion for cars and Mopars, whom Ted inherited his passion from, had passed away November 1st, which Ted shared in his last post on here. His mother would pass away on November 25th. Ted was tending to his parent's estate at the time of his death. RIP my friend. Below, I have posted his funeral information for anyone that would like to send flowers or attend.
Services for Ted Montano:
A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, located at 1120 Cuyamaca Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911. The Viewing will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Afterward, we will proceed to Miramar National Cemetery at 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122, where Theodore will be laid to rest with military honors during a 12:00 p.m. ceremony.
Following the burial, please join us for a Celebration of Life reception at American Legion La Mesa Post 282, located at 8118 University Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942.
In honor of Ted's passions and signature aesthetic, attendees are encouraged to wear "DiegoTed Racing," Mopar, Harley, or Classic Americana T-shirts. If you own a classic car or Harley and are able to drive it to the services, it would be a fitting tribute to Theodore's memory.

RIP Apparently, he was posting up to the very end. There is I suppose is a lesson there. I also feel like I and many of us might be on borrowed time, and why I have no intention of leaving anything left unsaid.
