The TKX would be great when they get it to where you don't have to cut the F ! ! K out of a car and weld a bigger hump on for it to fit. That is the only hold back for me on ordering one

I had to cut a 5 inch round hole in my 69 Charger, SST supplies everything else. The TKX don’t require as much cutting as the TKO.

Guess you will never have one then if a little modifications hold you back. This is the needed cut out for a TKO in my 69 Charger. Piece of cake.

It's Passon's marketed alum 5 speed version of a Mopar 833 4 speed

It deff could been something far greater then what it is.....

This will go down in the oh-so annals of reproduced/replacement parts.
So Sad for all those still in limbo.

Jamie got screwed over by some crooked and greedy partners that were part of the 855 project. He kept insisting on quality parts while the partners wanted to cut corners to make more $$ per unit. He got pushed out of the project, and lost a lot of money he invested.....but all of the blame for the problems keep coming back to him simply because the 855 transmission project bears his name. That's the Cliff's Notes version of what was told in MCG. I do not know Jamie personally and have only spoken to him while buying 833 parts. He saved me from spending too much money on a core Hemi 4 speed at the 2024 Mopar Nats and didn't charge me a cent for the advice....and no, he didn't slip around and buy the trans to fix himself. I'd buy from Jamie again in a heartbeat! My twocents

Real shame: but I guess that's what comes from being the "front-guy" for any such program.

I installed a Tremec years ago and it had all kinds of problems. It could not shift very well and could not hold the horse power of my friends hemi. After multiple attempts to fix the problems, we gave up and installed a 833 hemi box with a gear vendor OD. He loves it now. I’ve installed one other with no problems.

Sounds like you installed the older Tremec TKO, they’re known for problems.

work So you're saying that some after market transmissions still need refinements? The A855 may not be any different. shruggy IMO it is still a better choice for those wanting a true bolt in Mopar Style transmission.

All I have to say is Jamie knocked it out of the park for me. I would absolutely buy from him again, but the Brewer's are totally stand up folks too.

If you already have a manual, yes the A855 is your choice, if you have an automatic, you can’t beat the TKX.

I was on the "list" for almost four years. I received my transmission over four and a half years ago.

My car, 70 Barracuda, was an automatic. I switched to a A833, than to a A833 Overdrive built by Passion, and now to the A855.

Does anyone have a photo of the gearset in the A855?
