Well said and have may ways of making you think they're you're best friend. I had a hard time with a few customers that wanted to "MAIL" me a check. Always eager to pick the car up but then the check is no longer a priority to them 🤔🙄. Although there was one that it didn't matter as he was honorable and had well over 100 cars. The other point is, what happens if the person has an accident, dies unexpectedly etc. Are you supposed to knock on his families door and say I need the 5K that your XXXX owed me? IMO it's unethical to put a person in that position and there is a BIG CLUE there🎯 iIy right up there with contractor's, restoration shops etc. that say I need a 5K check to get started. WHY? do you have cash flow problems? Again where's your money if he files bankruptcy or dies? My wife has always said you don't leave the store without paying for the merchandise 😉
