On the 64 Dart I’m currently building I moved the battery to the trunk. Built a filter / air box where the battery was with holes in the to allow fresh cool air in from the grill area. Nice!

If that's the OP's intake style, a smaller battery - maybe moved down to top of the frame rail - might work. A buddy has a Braille battery in his Dart, and it's quite compact. No room down there. AC compressor is really close to the frame. I’m doing an early A body. Later As may have room. Here are a few photos of how tight the fit is.

Not a crate motor. It’s out of a 2018 Charger cop car that was totaled. Engine has 38,000 miles on it. Only used the PS pump. Everything else is stock MOPAR.

thanks, was just curious. They seem to make a ps pump that bolts in place for older car ps systems, but is marketed towards the crate motors. diy hemi also offers the ps pressure reducer for older cars. Yes I’ve seen the pressure reducers. Would have used one but there is no room for the electric PS pump.
